Impostor
Everyone at the table shares a secret word. One of you does not.
3 to 10 players · about 8 minutes · one device each
How a round goes
Everyone gets the same secret word, except one player, who gets only the category. Nobody is told who.
Give a clue
One word each, in turn, in the open. One of these came from someone who has never heard the secret.
Talk it over
Chat opens once the first clue lands. No clock. The table moves on when a majority says it is ready.
Decide together
Another round of clues, or accuse now. You can change your mind while the vote is open.
Those three repeat, with a new player leading each round, until the table votes to accuse.
Then the accusation
Everyone names one player in secret, and the votes turn over together. Accuse the wrong person and the impostor wins. Accuse the right one and they still get a single guess at the word.
